Pharmacy Technician, Clinical Support

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Prisma Health. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a dynamic healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing pharmacy-related functions under the direction of a pharmacist. This includes interpreting and preparing medication orders, making deliveries to nursing units, compounding medications, and participating in quality assurance activities.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. You will also have the chance to develop your skills and expertise in areas such as inventory management, computer systems, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Interpret and prepare medication orders
- Make deliveries to nursing units
- Compound medications
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology, as well as good mathematical, computer, and aseptic technique skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and handle urgent and stressful situations.
In terms of education and experience, we require a High School diploma or equivalent, and six months of experience as a Pharmacy Tech. You must also be certified by the SC Board of Pharmacy.
