Position Summary:
The Construction Project Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administrative and technical aspects of construction projects. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from the initial bid preparation to the final project completion, ensuring that all operations align with budgetary and scheduling constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients to evaluate project scope and necessary resources.
- Develop comprehensive project estimates by meticulously reviewing proposal specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.
- Oversee the entire construction process to guarantee timely completion within budget by monitoring schedules, milestones, and job progress.
- Engage with customer representatives and other contractors as needed.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage onsite activities, including scheduling and engineering tasks.
- Supervise craft personnel and/or subcontractors in accordance with contractual obligations.
- Ensure that all projects are executed safely and within the established timeline.
- Provide technical guidance, including interpretation of drawings and recommendations for construction methodologies and equipment.
- Manage additional work estimates and change orders as they arise.
- Identify potential business development opportunities during client interactions on job sites.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction management, estimating, or supervision in a similar environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including technology, equipment, methods, and safety protocols.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.
- Proficiency in CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficient in business communication in English, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for job-related travel.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage daily project operations, including RFIs and change orders.
- Ability to effectively communicate with field personnel and clients.
- Familiarity with Time and Material billing practices.
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
