Position Overview:

This role is pivotal in overseeing all operations at the construction site, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to timelines, and managing project budgets as outlined in the initial estimates.

Candidates should possess demonstrable experience as a site manager, along with additional construction knowledge. A solid understanding of project timelines is essential, as is the ability to complete projects within budget by monitoring discrepancies and financial forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a successful history of supervising and coordinating all personnel, including subcontractors and materials, to mitigate delays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the activities of assistant managers, field engineers, skilled laborers, and all subcontractors involved in construction projects.
  • Acts as a consultant to the owner, design team, and all tradespeople associated with the project.
  • Establishes work priorities and coordinates activities with all relevant parties to ensure project efficiency and adherence to schedules.
  • Oversees the stipulations of construction contracts.
  • Distributes work among employees and subcontractors based on project requirements and ensures a seamless workflow among various trades.
  • Promotes a safe working environment by fostering a culture of safety and holding all project participants accountable for safe practices.
  • Conducts regular safety meetings and ensures compliance with the company's safety protocols.
  • Identifies material suppliers for necessary consumables and estimates material requirements for specific tasks. Manages ordering and delivery of materials to align with construction timelines.
  • Ensures that construction materials are available on-site as needed and stored according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Coordinates staging areas for materials among different trades and monitors delivery schedules.
  • Maintains oversight of project tools, materials, equipment, and security.
  • Manages project budgets by overseeing all labor costs associated with the project. Tracks and evaluates workforce productivity.
  • Administers company and rental equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize expenses.
  • Keeps precise records of employee hours, accurately categorizes time to completed tasks, and reports this information to the office promptly.
  • Reviews and coordinates all Contract Documents and Subcontractor submissions to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluates all Requests for Information from Subcontractors to ensure adherence to Contract Documents.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Manager, with a preference for candidates who have worked on USACE projects.
  • A degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
