Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough research on field and product concerns to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Facilitate timely communication of regulatory updates and technical notices to meet regulatory obligations.

Occasionally visit regulatory laboratories to assess and evaluate products, collaborating with laboratory personnel on approvals and issue resolution.

Manage escalations and ensure critical information is relayed to engineering, development, and testing teams via project management tools.

Ensure global teams are informed of issues and updates are shared across regions.

Oversee the field trial process from initiation to completion, working closely with regulators to ensure transparency and efficiency.

Set clear expectations regarding functionalities related to the field trial process.

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is empowered to coordinate support with development teams and regulatory resources to prepare for field and laboratory testing activities.

Stay informed about the rules, regulations, and legislative requirements across various gaming jurisdictions relevant to the organization’s products.

Act as the primary contact for regulatory agencies with inquiries regarding company products during submission, rework, and field trial processes; also provide assistance to testing laboratories.

Evaluate new and existing products for regulatory compliance; conduct product testing to ensure standards are met; liaise between studios and stakeholders to guarantee product specifications align with gaming guidelines for initial submissions; resolve issues identified by regulators or testing labs that require coordination.

This often involves creating technical documentation or white papers for external distribution.
Coordinate interoperability testing at the company’s facilities, regulatory labs, and customer sites as necessary.

Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Development teams to review product updates and assess requirements for recommended field testing and optimal release strategies.

Advise management on trends and patterns impacting product and system approvals by regulatory agencies, including forensic evaluations and field trials.


Forensic Review:
Manage forensic evaluations requiring escalation. Coordinate forensic activities involving company resources and product support issues related to regulators or testing labs.
Facilitate information sharing of software and firmware releases through the Engineering Change Order / Engineering Review Board (ECO/ERB) process.

Provide project management for products related to field issues and upgrades through the ECO/ERB process to understand product structures and offer regulatory guidance.

Review and manage software and firmware releases through the ERB process, establishing submission and field testing plans, and coordinating releases to ensure product quality for major updates.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in product testing and quality assurance within an engineering environment is required.

Experience in the gaming industry is essential, with familiarity in areas such as Class II/III gaming, sports betting, iGaming, and casino management systems being ideal.

Ability to interpret gaming regulations in the compliance domain for both systems and gaming machines.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Demonstrated leadership experience in various organizations.

Familiarity with slot machines (both video and stepper hardware), peripherals, progressive systems, and Oasis Systems.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment where complex problem-solving is required.

Must be a collaborative team player with the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines.

Quick comprehension of products on both technical and mathematical levels.

Adaptability is essential.

Experience in creating and reviewing technical documentation.

Ability to troubleshoot issues reported to the Technical Compliance Team and provide internal support to other departments.

Previous knowledge of regulatory and compliance challenges in the gaming industry is preferred.

Detail-oriented, highly accurate, and organized.

Strong problem-solving abilities.

Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Operational knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).

Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is required.

Must possess strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and be team-oriented.

Must be eligible to obtain a gaming license as required (Gaming License requirements will vary depending on location).
