Job Profile Summary
Broward College is seeking a highly skilled User Experience Designer to join its Web & Digital Services Team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in creating and designing the digital student experience as the college transitions to a new Student Information System. Under limited direction, this position involves designing and enhancing new and existing digital platforms, including websites, mobile applications, and SaaS products, to deliver a user-first design that is consistent, optimized, seamless, and aligned with Broward College's mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct user research to gather and evaluate user requirements to determine user needs and identify where enhancements can be integrated.
  • Leverage existing and new insights to create and/or refine personas.
  • Identify and create journey maps and service blueprints.
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
  • Design intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces that meet user needs and follow system specifications.
  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes for web and mobile applications.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine, improve, and redesign the user experience.
  • Ensure all digital interfaces are accessible and comply with the latest WCAG standards.

Requirements:
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX design projects, demonstrating both creative and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, InVision, or similar.
  • Experience with user research methodologies and usability testing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organization and prioritization of project tasks and responsibilities.
