Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Surgical Technology to join our team at Collin College. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director.
  • Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs.
  • May include Dual Credit courses.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in any field and must hold current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
  • Teaching experience is desired.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a sedentary environment with occasional walking and standing. The position requires talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking, and repetitive motions, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
