About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care to assigned patient populations. You will organize patient care and set priorities while assisting with the provision of patient care as established within the framework of the Georgia Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with data collection and provide feedback to the Registered Nurse from a variety of sources to enhance clinical decisions about treatments and nursing interventions.
  • Obtain data sensitive to cultural diversity, ethnicity, age, gender, and lifestyle choices from multiple sources including the patient, significant other, healthcare providers, and medical records.
  • Document relevant data according to hospital standards.
  • Provide feedback to the Registered Nurse in the development of nursing diagnoses and carry out the established plan of care and documents reassessments, interventions, and patients' responses to interventions.
  • Teach the patient and significant other regarding needs identified on admission and during the hospitalization.
  • Evaluate patient responses to nursing care and therapies and document responses to nursing interventions according to hospital standards.
Requirements
  • Current State LPN License.
  • High School Diploma or GED and LPN diploma and Licensure.
  • New graduate LPNs or those with less than one year of experience will be referred to the LPN residency program.
  • Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
