Reporting To: Director of Centro Latino

Position Summary:

The Community Outreach Coordinator plays a pivotal role in establishing personal connections with ecclesiastical ministries, churches, bible institutes, and community organizations. The primary objective is to generate funding and attract potential students and participants for Centro Latino programs, professional certifications, and related events in the Houston/Texas region.

This role is integral to the success of the Centro Latino mission, focusing on enhancing and nurturing partnerships, as well as advancing community-oriented research, outreach, and educational initiatives. We seek an outreach coordinator who possesses strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the initiative, judgment, and negotiation abilities necessary to empower individuals.

Collaboration with the Houston campus team is essential, ensuring that efforts yield mutual benefits for both Centro Latino and Fuller TX. This will involve regular participation in team meetings and any additional required gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster professional and supportive relationships with existing partners and strategic organizations.
  • Research potential partners and develop collaboration opportunities with Hispanic-focused community entities.
  • Conduct market analysis to evaluate Centro Latino's educational offerings, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
  • Serve as an instructor or facilitator based on relevant qualifications and experience.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, seminars, conferences, and related training and dissemination events.
  • Create printed materials, presentations, and resources for outreach to potential donors, students, and participants.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Director of Centro Latino.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
  • Understanding of Spanish and English-speaking church environments, with effective communication skills for engaging seminary stakeholders.
  • A master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, theology, ministry, or leadership) is required.
  • Three to five years of relevant professional experience is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally with individuals in various settings.
  • Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritizing and completing projects with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends for special events as needed.

Additional Information:

  • Adherence to Fuller Community Standards is required.
  • Occasional visits to the Houston, TX campus may be necessary.

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate expected: $25.00 per hour USD
