Position Overview

Delta College of Arts and Technology is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to fulfill the role of Clinical Instructor for our LPN program.

The Clinical Instructor will play a pivotal role in guiding LPN students through essential clinical skills and practical rotations within a healthcare environment.

This position is primarily full-time, with a day-shift schedule available on select weekdays. Additionally, part-time opportunities may also be offered. This role presents a wonderful chance to impart your expertise and insights to aspiring nursing professionals.

Teaching Experience: While prior teaching experience in Nursing Education is not mandatory, the college provides comprehensive training for all faculty members, facilitated by seasoned Nurse Educators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct and mentor LPN students in clinical settings.
  • Ensure students acquire the necessary skills and knowledge for their future careers.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current and valid Louisiana State or Compact Registered Nurse license.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Med-Surgical Staff Nurse.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
