About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Manager to lead our Avionics Hardware Engineering team at Relativity Space. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a team of electrical engineers in the development of custom electronics for our rocket, Terran R.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of electrical engineers through the full product lifecycle, including design, board bring-up, design verification, qualification, initial flight production, integration, and vehicle operations.
  • Work with cross-functional partner teams across the company to ensure the best possible decisions for the overall vehicle.
  • Coach individual engineers in technical and non-technical best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in electronics design for harsh environments and mission-critical applications such as launch vehicles, spacecraft, aircraft, or robotics.
  • Previous experience leading a team of engineers and other leaders.
Nice to Have
  • Experience driving rigorous engineering process (requirements capture, design reviews, design verification, etc.).
  • Experience working with highly cross-functional teams (mechanical, thermal, electrical, software, etc.) to develop integrated electronics solutions.
  • Experience mentoring engineers in engineering best-practices and domain-specific technical principles.
