Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our team at AMR. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and transportation services in a professional and caring manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and provide patient care, utilizing medical equipment and procedures to deliver advanced medical care.
  • Drive the ambulance and provide map reading support to minimize call response time.
  • Continuously maintain all required certifications and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Monitor and maintain the general condition of the ambulance, ensuring it is clean and stocked for optimal call response.
  • Document patient care and billing information accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow policies and procedures regarding out-of-chute times and turnaround times.
  • Consider patient status and insurance preferences when determining transportation destinations.
  • Ability to work past scheduled shifts with little or no notice.
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with some advanced education preferred.
  • Current state Paramedic License.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS Provider Certification (where applicable or required by contract).
  • Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy.
