Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Parkland Health and Hospital System. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing various laboratory tests and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process specimens, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Perform basic and complex laboratory tests, including reagent preparation and test performance.
  • Report test results and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in quality control tasks to ensure the validity of test results.
  • Assist with the instruction and consultation of new employees and other personnel in laboratory procedures.
  • Identify ways to improve work processes and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) by one of the following organizations: American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologist (AMT), or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA).
  • Ability to follow laboratory procedures, demonstrate a working knowledge of laboratory techniques, and operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
