Overview

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Fundraising Leader to join its Development team in the School of Law. This individual will play a key role in strategic planning and development of major and principal gift needs, focusing on securing $100,000 gifts and above.

Job Description

The Fundraising Leader will be responsible for preparing and maintaining a plan of funding priorities that guide fundraising efforts, identifying prospective donors and funding sources, and developing cultivation and solicitation plans. Additionally, they will solicit donors, alumni, businesses, and other stakeholders for major gifts, including planned giving, and ensure regular communications and stewardship with donors.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, minimum 5 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of business and management principles. They should also have the ability to establish department goals, plan, delegate, and supervise the work of others, as well as lead, motivate, develop, and train staff.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range estimated at $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of business and management principles
  • Ability to establish department goals, plan, delegate, and supervise the work of others
  • Leadership, motivation, development, and training skills
  • Understanding of charitable vehicles and donor pipeline
