Job Summary:

The Dining Services Supervisor - Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service facilities. This includes supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train staff members to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of customer service and food quality.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure that all necessary supplies are on hand.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met, including proper handling and storage of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, and proper disposal of waste.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring that their needs are met and that they have a positive experience in our dining facilities.
  • Financial Management: Manage the financial aspects of the dining services operation, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school degree or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a food service management role, preferably in a college or university setting.
  • Certifications: ServSafe Manager certification required within 60 days of employment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.

The Dining Services Supervisor - Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure that all operations are running smoothly. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate effectively with staff, students, and faculty.
