We're looking for a Line Chef/Prep Cook to assist in preparing ingredients and supporting kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have experience cooking breakfast and lunch menus with a passion for culinary excellence in a fast paced environment.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsibilities include prepping vegetables, meats, and other ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and collaborating with the kitchen team.
  • Sanitation: maintains sanitation standards, ensures proper product rotation, proper labeling and monitors staff members in compliance with all NC Department of Environmental Health Codes. 
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision. Lead food preparation of a station or a shift Work in sustainable manner to reduce food waste and maximize the use of ingredients
  • Perform clean-up of kitchen which includes sweeping, mopping, dishes, and taking trash to dumpster.
  • Assists with food set-up for daily and catered events.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Take orders and give great service to customers
  • Participate in daily kitchen opening and closing procedures

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes
  • Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
