Precision Castparts Corp is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety Co-op Student to join our team for a 6-month paid internship with a housing stipend.
Job DescriptionThe EHS Co-op will work on job assignments related to their functional environmental or safety discipline, applying EHS principles to hands-on situations and working with the hourly workforce to address day-to-day safety concerns.
Responsibilities- Apply EHS principles to hands-on situations
- Work with the hourly workforce to address day-to-day safety concerns
- Create Department Hazard Maps
- Review Environmental / Safety Policies, Procedures, and Programs
- Perform Respirator Fit Testing
- Perform Plant-wide Hearing Conservation Survey
- Gather / Research Safety Data for the Safety Department
- Conduct Confined Space Entry Evaluations
- Perform Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for various processes and tasks
- Work on various environmental projects
- Attend safety training sessions and other appropriate educational opportunities
Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Environmental or Safety discipline. Knowledge of related environmental, health, and safety engineering practice and regulatory compliance (EPA, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, etc.). Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
Additional InformationRelocation is authorized for this position. This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations.
