Brown & Brown is seeking a skilled Account Executive for our Commercial Lines team in Seattle, Washington.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve policy and coverage issues for clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Applied system.
  • Stay updated on insurance products, market trends, and client needs.
  • Administer client accounts, ensure appropriate coverage, and review accounts.
  • Educate clients on coverage, cross-sell and up-sell, and meet Profit Center Minimum Standards.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals, market new and renewal business, and place coverage with carriers.
  • Manage client renewals, process change requests, and develop client relationships.
  • Maintain strong relationships with underwriters and carriers.
  • Mentor new producers and assist with special projects.
  • Ensure timely premium payments and work closely with Account Managers on receivables.
  • Follow workflow guidelines, maintain quality control, and meet established quality practices.
Requirements:
  • Current Washington State Insurance License and appropriate Non-Resident Licenses.
  • 5-7 years of recent agency experience handling the service of multi-line commercial lines book of business, including exposures and underwriter communication and negotiation.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
  • Professional designation (ACSR, CIC, CPCU, CISR) (Preferred).
  • Experience with AMS360 / ImageRight (Preferred).
  • This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.

Target Pay: $65K - $90K / annually
