About the Role:

As a Psychiatric Nurse Specialist at ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients. Our team provides unique and individualized care to clients in long-term care settings, addressing a range of diagnoses including dementia, anxiety, depression, and psychosis.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-person nursing assessments and medication reviews in long-term care facilities
Educate caregivers and clients on prescribed medications and monitor for potential side effects
Coordinate community services and communicate with treatment team members, including physicians and pharmacies
Assist clients in building coping skills and creating annual goals related to their psychiatric diagnosis

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
LPN or RN license
Experience in psychiatric, mental, and behavioral health services
Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area
