This role is a temporary, hourly, intermittent, on-call position with a potential for renewal based on funding and program needs.

Our Student Health and Counseling Center is focused on empowering students to achieve their academic and personal aspirations. We are looking for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Clinical Pharmacist. The successful candidate will embody a positive outlook and a commitment to diversity, flexibility, integrity, and compassion.

In this role, you will provide pharmaceutical care to our patient population, which includes:
1. Consulting with healthcare providers and patients.
2. Evaluating and interpreting prescriptions.
3. Compounding and dispensing medications, vaccines, and therapeutic agents.
4. Ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

You will also serve as a valuable resource for healthcare providers regarding medication-related inquiries and act as a backup to the Pharmacist-in-Charge as mandated by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and inventory for controlled substances. Prepare and submit necessary reports in accordance with university policies and applicable laws. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:
Must possess a valid pharmacist license in California and have at least one year of relevant experience.

A degree from an accredited pharmacy program recognized by the California Board of Pharmacy is essential.

A satisfactory background check, including criminal records, is a prerequisite for employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program or an equivalent recognized by the California State Board of Pharmacy is preferred. Experience in a college or university health center is advantageous.
