Position Overview:

Qualifications:
  • Medical Degree (MD, DO)
  • Completion of Internal Medicine or Med+Peds residency and board certification/eligibility
  • Completion of Endocrinology fellowship and board certification/eligibility
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR)
  • Basic computer skills
  • California Medical License and DEA Certificate
  • BLS certification
Responsibilities:
  • Review patient records, including allergies, medications, and immunization status.
  • Gather and document comprehensive medical histories.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging as necessary.
  • Formulate accurate diagnoses based on findings.
  • Administer or prescribe appropriate treatments.
  • Discuss potential side effects of medications with patients.
  • Prescribe vaccinations to prevent communicable diseases.
  • Advise patients on health promotion, including diet and hygiene.
  • Perform procedures within the scope of training.
  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
  • Document all patient interactions, including history, exams, and treatment plans.
  • Follow up with patients in high-risk cases.
  • Assist in triage and treatment during emergencies as per protocol.
  • Meet clinic goals by seeing an average of 18 patients daily.
  • Work twelve Saturdays annually and may include one late shift weekly.
