Our Cloud team tackles the challenge of capturing, storing, organizing, and processing this vast data stream to unlock its full value for Hayden, our partners, and our customers.

As our team scales, we're seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented software engineers who are responsible for a critical collection of cloud applications and services that power Hayden's products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and run a day-to-day process within the team to ship high-quality products while adhering to a predictable release schedule.
  • Mitigate risks, eliminate bottlenecks, and focus relentlessly on productivity.
  • Interact with engineers on pull requests and design documents.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • ~7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 recent years in front-line management.
  • ~ Expertise in Golang or Python.
  • ~ A strong understanding of distributed systems, databases (PostgreSQL), and event-driven programming (Kafka, SQS, SNS).
  • ~ Exposure to frontend development technologies (e.g., React).
  • ~ Experience with AWS/cloud technologies (Terraform, EKS/K8s, S3, EC2, Cognito, RDS, etc.).
