Development Specialist

The Development Specialist - Grant Writer is a key role within our organization, responsible for identifying, researching, and writing grant proposals to secure funding for our programs and services. This position requires a strong understanding of grant writing, research, and analysis, as well as excellent communication and writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Research and identify potential grant opportunities, including government, corporate, and foundation funding sources.
- Develop and write high-quality grant proposals, including budgets and narratives, to secure funding for our programs and services.
- Collaborate with our Programs staff to ensure that grant proposals accurately reflect our organization's mission and goals.
- Track and manage grant submissions, including deadlines and follow-up communications.
- Provide regular reports to our Director, Development on grant progress and outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, English, or a related field, or commensurate work experience.
- Minimum three years of grant writing experience in a non-profit setting.
- Proven track record of securing grants and managing grant-funded projects.
- Excellent writing, editing, and research skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
This role will be performed in an office environment, with occasional travel to meetings and events. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to work independently, and have excellent time management skills.
