Position Overview

As a vital member of the interdisciplinary team at CentraCare, the Program Facilitator plays a crucial role in enhancing patient engagement and promoting essential living skills. This position focuses on delivering educational and recreational activities tailored to individuals and groups, particularly those facing mental health challenges or substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a diverse range of therapeutic programs aimed at improving patient awareness and skills.
  • Facilitate educational sessions and recreational activities for patients aged 5 through adulthood.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive care and support for all patients.

Work Schedule

  • Part-time position within the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.
  • 16 hours bi-weekly, with shifts from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Availability required every other weekend.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting pay of $18.90 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant human services field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in group facilitation and program development.
  • Associate of Arts degree from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program, including successful completion of clinical fieldwork.
  • Certification as a COTA through NBCOT and state licensure as an OTA is required for occupational therapy graduates.
  • Initial and ongoing training in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) is mandatory and provided.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic education and engage in creative activities.
  • Familiarity with medical and psychiatric diagnoses and their associated symptoms.
  • Capability to instruct a variety of educational and recreational activities.
