We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Professional to join our team at Securian Financial Group. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in maintaining a positive work environment and advising management on various situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Advising management on employee relations issues, including performance coaching and maintaining a positive work environment
- Investigating and resolving employee complaints and concerns, including those related to employment regulations
- Developing and implementing effective actions to address gaps in management's understanding and application of successful staff management
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with key constituencies and partners, including management, occupational health, corporate compliance, and external partners
- Managing assigned program areas to ensure a positive and productive work environment
- At least 5 years of employee relations experience
- Demonstrated track record of success in handling employee relations issues, interpreting employment laws, and writing and implementing HR policies
- Knowledge of employment laws, including EEO, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, and FCRA
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and synthesize data and information
- Excellent project management, organization, and planning skills
- Successful track record in a human resources role, preferably in financial services
- Experience advising on employee relations issues with exempt/senior roles
