GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The Sanitation Specialist is responsible for upholding cleanliness and infection control standards in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Crayola. This role involves executing and supervising various cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure a hygienic and secure environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and service restrooms to ensure cleanliness.
- Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways to uphold safety standards.
- Collect and dispose of waste materials responsibly.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaning solutions and tools.
- Dust furniture, file cabinets, and windowsills using suitable cleaning materials.
- Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and toiletries.
- May assist with snow removal and salting duties at entrances.
- Support evacuation and emergency procedures as necessary.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in cleaning within a family attraction, educational, or institutional environment is preferred.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions is essential.
- Must be capable of completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Regular and punctual attendance is mandatory.
- Strong oral, interpersonal, and customer service skills are required.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is necessary.
- Must maintain First Aid and CPR certification and be knowledgeable about infectious materials cleanup.
