Electroless/Electrolytic Metal Plater Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior PCB Metalization Specialist to join our team at Galaxy Electronics Associates Inc. As a key member of our PCB fabrication process, you will be responsible for plating PCBs using electroless/electrolytic methods, ensuring strict adherence to specifications and maintaining equipment in optimal condition.

This is a challenging role that requires expertise in plating techniques, PCB manufacturing, and quality control. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Provide assistance to other departments as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Conduct analysis of plating chemistry to ensure optimal results.
  • Monitor and maintain plating baths within operating range, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Keep accurate logs and records of test results, providing data-driven insights for process improvement.

Requirements:

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to focus on complex tasks.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
  • Knowledge of plating chemistry is highly desirable, but not mandatory.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Certifications or apprenticeship experience are highly valued, but not essential.
