Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations, assessments, and treatment plans for children with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language goals, including articulation, language, and fluency.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including pediatricians, psychologists, and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for children.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, including children with complex communication needs.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in pediatric speech-language pathology, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive technology.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology systems.
This position is located at Intermountain Healthcare's Orem Community Hospital, where you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families.
