Special Education Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Create and implement tailored IEPs that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities.
- Provide Direct Instruction and Support: Offer direct instruction and support in various academic areas, including reading, writing, mathematics, and other subjects as needed.
- Monitor and Assess Student Progress: Regularly monitor and assess student progress, making adjustments to instruction as necessary to ensure students meet their learning goals.
- Collaborate with Colleagues and Parents: Work closely with general education teachers, parents, and specialists to support student success and ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Classroom Environment and Management: Create and maintain a classroom environment that is both supportive and engaging, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document and report on student progress, maintaining up-to-date records and providing regular updates to parents and colleagues.
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or Related Field: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Valid State Teaching Certification: Hold a valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Strong Understanding of Special Education Laws and Best Practices: Demonstrate a strong understanding of special education laws and best practices, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience with Diverse Student Populations: Have experience working with diverse student populations, including students with varying abilities, cultures, and backgrounds.
