Cardiology Specialist

The Veterans Health Administration is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Cardiologist to join our Specialty Care Service. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of care and fostering the development of an academic hospital program. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment are essential.
Eligibility

- Managing and participating in all aspects of a comprehensive cardiology program, including clinical, administrative, and educational responsibilities.
- Diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular diseases using standard medical practices.
- Conducting outpatient examinations and consultations, as well as managing patient care.
- Collaborating with primary care providers to address cardiac-related patient concerns.
- Participating in quality assurance initiatives and contributing to the education of medical trainees.
Standard hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on patient care needs.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the basic requirements, including U.S. citizenship, a medical degree, and a valid medical license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in an academic or research setting is highly valued.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be able to perform moderate lifting and maintain physical stamina to fulfill job responsibilities effectively.
