Job Summary

Marine Corps Community Services (MCSS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Administrative Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will provide administrative support to our leadership team and contribute to the success of our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the FAP Director, including coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
  • Coordinate and perform a wide range of administrative functions, including developing and implementing administrative policies and procedures.
  • Assist in ensuring program compliance with HQMC requirements and standards.
  • Develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other administrative tools to support program operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, including responding to phone calls, emails, and visitors.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned, including maintaining office supplies, coordinating travel arrangements, and preparing correspondence.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree from an accredited college or vocational school and 2 years experience in fields related to duties of the position being filled, OR 3 years experience in performing administrative duties for upper-level management positions in a large customer-oriented organization.
  • Knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office, email, and database management.
  • Ability to express oneself orally and in writing in a highly professional manner to meet and interact with diversified groups and organizations.
  • Knowledge of administrative and management concepts, policies, and procedures sufficient to enable the incumbent to analyze administrative policies and ramifications, devise and install procedures and office practices, and foresee administrative problems and requirements.
Working Conditions

This is a white-collar position that requires occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. The incumbent must be eligible for a background check and must be able to work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours.
