Role Summary

The role involves analyzing and resolving intricate issues related to server hardware, applications, and software integration. Responsibilities include configuring and managing UNIX and Windows operating systems, installing and loading operating system software, troubleshooting, maintaining the integrity of network components, and implementing enhancements to operating systems to boost reliability and performance.

**Important Note:** This position necessitates an existing NSA Top Secret Clearance and Polygraph.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Oversee IT system infrastructure and related processes, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
  • Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Facilitate the escalation and communication of status updates to agency management and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the dispatch system for hardware issues and remain engaged in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, ensuring software installation, troubleshooting, and integrity maintenance of network components while implementing enhancements for improved reliability and performance.
Required Experience
  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
  • Existing Clearance: Active Top-Secret SCI with Poly
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution is required; five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience in maintaining relational databases (Postgres).
  • Administer and maintain product security, integration, and optimization within the AWS platform.
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes platforms and Docker containers.
  • Conduct holistic troubleshooting from the application tier through the database to storage.
  • Identify and resolve performance and capacity challenges.
  • Establish and maintain disaster recovery protocols.
  • Proficient in Git, Linux, and Bash Scripting; experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence), Yum updates, and familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, NodeJS administration, and C2S is a plus.
