As a Construction Technician Intern, you will have the chance to learn and practice ASTM testing procedures, including field testing of concrete, compaction testing of engineered fill, and density control of hot mix asphalt.
You will work closely with experienced engineers and construction managers to develop your skills and knowledge in construction materials and processes. This is a great opportunity to learn while working on real-world projects and to develop your professional network.
Responsibilities- Field testing of concrete
- Compaction testing of engineered fill
- Density control of hot mix asphalt
- Sampling and testing masonry grout and mortar
- Compression testing of concrete specimens
- Laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, and hot mix asphalt
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a current student in a Bachelor's Program in the Sciences, Mathematics, Construction Management, Engineering, or Geology fields at an accredited university. No experience is required, as we will provide training and support to help you develop your skills.
You will need to have basic math, calculator, and computer skills, as well as the ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal and written communication. A valid driver's license and reliable driving record are also required.
