Parktown Veterinary Clinic: A Leader in Animal Care

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RVT to join our team at Parktown Veterinary Clinic. As a dedicated and passionate animal care facility, we prioritize the well-being of animals and strive to create a comfortable and stress-free environment for both pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively resolve and deescalate concerns while approaching discussions with empathy and understanding.
  • Oversee department cleaning, stocking, and inventory to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with departments on patient care and operations to provide exceptional veterinary services.
  • Perform technician or assistant duties as needed, including anesthesia monitoring and dental care.
  • Train, mentor, or onboard new and existing staff to ensure a cohesive and knowledgeable team.
  • Schedule and monitor staff to minimize overtime and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Efficiently share hospital policies and updates with the team to maintain a high level of professionalism.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of RVT experience, with leadership experience a plus.
  • RVT, LVT, or CVT certification required.
  • Confidence with anesthesia monitoring, dental assisting, and pre/post op care.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and calculations.
  • Strong patient advocacy skills and ability to work well with a dynamic team.
  • Able to perform moderately physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
