Position Overview:
The National Float Pool is seeking a dedicated Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) to join our esteemed team at US Renal Care. Our organization prides itself on fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce, recognizing that our strength lies in our differences.
Role Summary:
The Dialysis Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients suffering from chronic renal conditions. This role involves collaborating with the Charge Nurse and supervising Patient Care Technicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Excellence: Assist in clinical and operational processes aimed at enhancing patient health and reducing hospital admissions.
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough reviews of patient medication profiles and administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians during patient rounds and ensure timely transcription and implementation of physician orders.
- Patient Education: Provide comprehensive education to patients and follow up on their progress as necessary.
- Quality Assurance: Support the program's goals for patient outcomes in alignment with quality care standards.
Operational Standards:
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing healthcare practices.
- Conduct patient admissions and collaborate with team members regarding treatment-related issues.
- Perform pre and post-treatment assessments and manage patient treatments, including the setup of dialysis machines.
- Ensure cleanliness and functionality of dialysis equipment in accordance with established protocols.
- Engage in infection control measures and maintain a safe environment for patients.
Teamwork and Communication:
- Effectively communicate patient assessments and ongoing care to the healthcare team.
- Maintain strong relationships with the Medical Director and other physicians.
- Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
- Promote exceptional customer service standards within the organization.
Professional Development:
- Engage in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities as required.
- Support the training and development of both licensed and unlicensed staff.
- Encourage teamwork and foster a collaborative work environment.
