Optical Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters. As a key member of our optical team, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible eye care experience.

• Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service.
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
• Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues alike.
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear to meet customer needs and standards.
• Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Utilize technology effectively, managing time pressure and customer volume while maintaining exceptional product knowledge and tool usage.
• Proactively identify and resolve customer issues, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
• Multi-task and prioritize tasks, managing time effectively and meeting competing priorities.
• Strive for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies, taking pride in store appearance and maintaining a clean, attractive, and organized environment.
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
• Embody a resourceful, self-motivated attitude, with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• State licensure.
• Optical dispensing experience.
• Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and team building.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
• Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
• Embracing new technology and change.

• Previous customer service and retail experience.
