CNC Machine Operator Trainee Position

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator Trainee to join our team at SigSauer. As a CNC Machine Operator Trainee, you will be responsible for learning and operating CNC machinery in a supervised capacity. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and operate CNC machinery under the supervision of experienced trainers
  • Develop basic blueprint reading skills through classroom training and process shadowing
  • Understand and follow safety procedures and protocols
  • Participate in training exercises and group activities
  • Develop an understanding of loading and unloading machines in a safe and consistent manner
  • Learn to use equators and other handheld precision measuring equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills and ability to read and understand work instructions in English
  • Ability to convey ideas and information clearly and accurately to others
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of manufacturing terminology
Working Conditions
  • Regularly perform repetitive tasks
  • Work in a team environment under supervision
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to reach, bend, and kneel frequently
