Job Description

The Telecommunications Representative plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to patients, visitors, and staff at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process incoming and outgoing calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide accurate and concise information to callers, including directions, hospital policies, and procedures.
  • Assist patients with phone activation and other technical issues.
  • Monitor alarm systems and notify appropriate personnel in case of emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of calls, codes, and traumas.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and support.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in customer service or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and keyboard skills.
  • Pleasant speaking voice and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Performance Expectations:
  • Answer console promptly and maintain a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Keep callers informed of actions and provide assistance as needed.
  • Follow established procedures for codes, traumas, and alarms.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of calls and events.
Work Environment:

The Telecommunications Representative works in a fast-paced environment with potential exposure to hazards and risks associated with the hospital setting. Must be able to sit in a confined area for extended periods.

Reporting Relationship:

This position reports to the Telecommunications Director.
