Job Description
We are seeking an experienced EHS Strategic Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and a strong safety culture. You will lead EHS strategy across multiple sites, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with leadership to integrate safety into business operations. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is required. Experience in battery manufacturing or related high-tech industries is strongly preferred.
EHS Responsibilities
- Strategic EHS Leadership:
- Develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, and programs to align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Drive a proactive safety culture, ensuring leadership engagement and employee participation.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA 1910/1926, EPA, NFPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other relevant standards.
- Lead regulatory audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
- Develop and oversee programs for hazard identification, risk assessments, and process safety management (PSM).
- Maintain compliance documentation and reporting for regulatory agencies and corporate leadership.
- Oversee programs for behavior-based safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and contractor safety management.
- Manage incident investigation processes, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
- Develop and maintain emergency response and business continuity plans.
- Lead the site's CSP-certified safety program, ensuring best practices in hazard prevention and risk reduction.
