Job Title: Registered Nurse Infection Control

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Infection Control Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing expert care to patients with infectious diseases.

About the Role:
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients with infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS, STIs, and other complex conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
  • Conduct telephone triage and provide patient education on medication management, lab results, and other health-related topics.
  • Administer medications and vaccines as needed, and perform technical skills such as PICC line management and dressing changes.
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration as a registered nurse in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of one year of recent clinical nursing experience in a primary care or public health setting, preferably in infectious disease or HIV/AIDS care.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based care model.
  • Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records and experience with ambulatory care is preferred.
