We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team at George J Hayden Inc. As a Journeyperson Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Apply knowledge of electrical tasks, including laying out, assembling, and installing electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform wire terminations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical materials and tools.
- Analyze and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Mentor apprentices and helpers, and monitor work progress.
- Accurately code timecards and complete time and material sheets.
- Collaborate with a crew of electricians or other jobsite tradespeople.
- Ensure a safe working environment and maintain clean, organized work areas.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Journeyperson certificate or 7 years equivalent work experience.
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Supervise assigned crew to complete projects accurately and thoroughly.
- Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E.
- Proficiency in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices and meters.
- Jobsite visits may require lifting not to exceed 50 pounds, standing, bending, or reaching for extended periods.
- Ability to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with overtime and nights as required.
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers, and ability to frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with body, arms, and/or legs.
- Ability to work outdoors or in restricted areas, such as switcher rooms, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, and attics.
- Ability to travel to jobsites locally, in-state, and out-of-state as business requires.
- Responsible for personal transportation to and from local and regional jobsites.
- Always wear personal protective equipment on the jobsite, including hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, safety shoes, gloves, harness, etc.
Compensation details: $47,000 - $62,000 Yearly Salary
