Job Overview

Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the functions and operations of the accounts receivable division and its personnel.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensures timely and precise collection of receivable balances; oversees prompt posting of cash transactions.
  • Evaluates and assesses the effectiveness of receivable collection strategies and procedures; suggests improvements to management.
  • Delegates responsibilities for legal proceedings and the collection of overdue accounts; collaborates with external collection agencies as necessary.
  • Establishes, monitors, and updates customer credit activities.
  • Conducts audits on overdue accounts; supervises and manages actions taken prior to designating accounts as bad debt.
  • Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient accounts receivable processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Manages and oversees the departmental budget.
  • Communicates with relevant personnel and managers to share information and update account records.
  • Prepares and delivers accounts receivable reports as required.
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, motivates, and develops accounts receivable staff; manages work schedules and workflow.
  • Assigns tasks and monitors work quality; ensures staff adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Provides daily guidance and oversight to team members; actively promotes and acknowledges performance.
  • Stays informed on overall team activities, identifying issues and implementing corrective measures.
  • Performs additional related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) or equivalent experience.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of the duties and tasks of supervised personnel.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire subordinates.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively and convey information clearly.
  • Proficient in relevant computer programs.
  • Interpersonal skills; capable of collaborating and working closely with other departments and leadership.
  • Self-driven, resourceful, and adaptable; able to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to make timely and informed decisions.
  • Excellent time-management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of data collection, analysis, evaluation, and scientific methods.
  • Strong problem-solving, process analysis, and business improvement skills.
  • Effective organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; capable of managing priorities and workflow.
