Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Behavioral Therapist - Child Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities to achieve their full potential.
Job Description
As a Behavioral Therapist - Child Development Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, such as functional analyses and skill-based assessments, to create a deep understanding of each child's unique needs and strengths.
- SUPPORTING COLLEAGUES: Provide ongoing, supportive supervision and training to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs) within your caseload, fostering their growth and confidence in implementing behavior reduction and skill acquisition programs.
- Monitoring Progress and Adjusting Interventions: Regularly review data to ensure meaningful advancements toward treatment goals and adjust interventions thoughtfully to maximize each child's potential.
- Training Parents and Caregivers: Offer training to parents, guardians, and caregivers involved in the client's journey, focusing on ABA principles and practical strategies to support progress outside of formal sessions, nurturing a collaborative partnership for success.
- Prioritizing Safety and Well-being: Ensure all training is delivered with cultural sensitivity and warmth, respecting the unique backgrounds and preferences of each family, and creating a safe space for open dialogue.
- Emergency Response: Prioritize the safety and well-being of clients during all treatment sessions, actively identifying and addressing any potential risks or issues with a proactive approach.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- BCBA Certification: Be certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Salary and Benefits
