The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials using Walking Floor trailers. This role requires a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and a strong commitment to safety and compliance with transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate Walking Floor Trailers to transport materials to designated locations.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to ensure safe transportation.
  • Inspect and maintain the condition of the Walking Floor Trailers, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Load and unload materials in a secure and efficient manner, following proper procedures.
  • Complete required paperwork, such as logbooks and delivery receipts, accurately and on time.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, and clients to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the Walking Floor Trailers to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Follow established routes and schedules, adjusting as necessary to accommodate changes.
  • Adhere to environmental regulations and company guidelines for the proper disposal of materials.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A commercial driver's license (REQUIRED) with endorsements (preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Class A Driver, with a focus on Walking Floor trailer operations (REQUIRED)
  • Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated reliability and a commitment to meeting delivery deadlines
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and logbook requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Compensation:

The Class A Driver position offers a competitive salary range of $33,280.00 to $104,000.00 per year, based on experience and performance. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with employer matching, and generous paid time off, and life insurance coverage.
