About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician 1 to join our team at Target. As a key member of our supply chain operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair automated material handling and facility equipment to ensure high equipment availability rates.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance processes to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with other Target mechanics to solve complex problems and validate quality of work for outside specialty contractors.
  • Operate Target-owned vehicles to complete maintenance activities on the exterior of the facility and within the trailer yard.
  • Travel to nearby facilities and local stores to procure parts and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess or ability to obtain a valid driver's license.
  • Basic PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices.
  • Familiar with simple wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring.
  • Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, and common industrial tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
