About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician 2 to join our team at Target. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment, including conveyor systems, sortation, robotics, and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and ensure high equipment availability rates
  • Collaborate with other team members to solve problems and validate quality of work for outside contractors
  • Work with building leaders to optimize material handling equipment and meet aggressive time lines
  • Assist in training other maintenance technicians and technician trainees to enhance their technical skills and job knowledge
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Possess or ability to obtain a valid driver's license
  • PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices
  • Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring
  • Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, basic blueprint and schematic reading, electrical and electronic principles, basic metal fabrication and welding, industrial controls and electronics, and programmable logic control (PLC) programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
  • Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards
  • Experience with robotic operation/maintenance
