About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Hematology Oncology team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting a culture of excellence within the hospital.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnoses. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to patient-centered care, and a passion for staying current with the latest advancements in hematology oncology nursing practice.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, demonstrating expertise in hematology oncology nursing practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and members of the healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in quality initiatives to promote a culture of safety and quality within the hospital.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in hematology oncology nursing or related field preferred.
  • Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.

Estimated Salary: $125,000 per year
