Job Description

As the Sales Strategy Team Leader at Russell Stover Chocolates, you will play a critical role in developing and executing the company's sales strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the Sales Strategy and Customer Development department, driving short- and long-term strategies across Total, Channel, and Customer levels.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Innovation, Category Management, Retail Operations, and Field Sales, to leverage data and create go-to-market sales strategies focused on sales controllables such as merchandising, assortment, pricing, and shelving initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of annual sales plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives
  • Analyze current go-to-market sales strategies and make recommendations for change based on data-driven insights
  • Create and deploy Sales Playbooks/Sales Materials for Field Sales execution
  • Monitor progress and communicate results across the business effectively

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance
  • 10+ years of business analytics experience, preferably in Sales and/or Category Management
  • Proven leadership skills, including experience managing people and teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Familiarity with syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen)
