Under the guidance of the Clinic Supervisor, this role is pivotal in delivering patient care within a clinical or outpatient environment. Responsibilities include managing appointment scheduling, assisting healthcare providers with various tasks, and providing backup reception support as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Manage appointment scheduling in alignment with physician and departmental protocols.
- Efficiently handle multi-line phone systems and process incoming calls.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical records system.
- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance policies and benefits to assist patients effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform clinical tasks including vital signs assessment, specimen collection, and basic wound care.
- Assist with medication administration and maintain a sterile environment when required.
- Engage with patients and their families to provide information and support.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork to enhance patient care delivery.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Venipuncture certification is preferred.
- Proficient in computer usage and electronic health record systems.
- Prior experience in a clinical setting is advantageous.
The compensation for this position will be determined based on various factors, including experience and qualifications.
