Pipefitter

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team at Industrial Technology Services. As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical pipe installations in various manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and maintain pipe installations, working with PVC pipe and tubing
• Measure and cut pipe to required specifications using power tools
• Threading and assembling of pipe and tubing, including PVC, Copper, and Black Pipe
• Prepare and fabricate pipe to specification
• Install valves, hangers, supports, and flanges in mechanical piping systems
• Ensure adherence to quality and safety codes, promoting a zero-accident philosophy

Requirements:

• At least 3+ years of experience in mechanical pipe fitting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with construction codes and safety regulations
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read measurements and use basic math skills

Physical Demands:

• Extensive walking in factory environments
• Lifting and carrying objects safely, up to 20 lbs. routinely, 50 lbs. frequently, and 80 lbs. occasionally
• Ability to work at heights and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
• Travel to job sites as assigned, in-state and out-of-state
