Electrocardiography Instructor

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Electrocardiography Instructor to join our team. As an Electrocardiography Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students the principles and practices of electrocardiography, including the interpretation of electrocardiograms and the use of electrocardiographic equipment. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, assessing student learning, and providing feedback to students. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Teaching electrocardiography courses to students in a variety of settings, including classroom and clinical settings
• Developing and implementing curriculum for electrocardiography courses, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations
• Assessing student learning and providing feedback to students
• Providing guidance and support to students in the clinical setting
• Collaborating with other faculty members to develop and implement curriculum and assessments
• Participating in departmental and college-wide meetings and activities

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nursing, health sciences, or a related field
• At least three years of experience in electrocardiography, including experience in teaching and clinical settings
• Current certification in electrocardiography, such as ACA EKG certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

• Master's degree in a related field
• Experience in teaching and clinical settings
• Current certification in cardiac arrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with electrocardiographic equipment and software

The salary for this position is $53.82 per contact hour. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as retirement plan and paid time off.
